Nina Jankowicz has submitted her letter of resignation as the executive director of the Disinformation Governance Board.
Even if a legitimate federal government effort is launched to fight disinformation, Nina Jankowicz would be the wrong person to lead it.
This WaPo article completely ignores Jankowicz’s past efforts to dismiss valid news stories that were damaging to Biden and Democrats.
For example, Jankowicz wrote about the infamous Hunter Biden laptop that “Biden notes 50 former natsec officials and 5 former CIA heads that believe the laptop is a Russian influence op.” Regarding ex-MI6 agent Christopher Steele, she sought to bolster his reputation, claiming that he “provides some great historical context about the evolution of disinfo.”
This demonstration of partisanship is not the right background for someone who needs to be trusted and believed by Republicans as well as Democrats in the fight against Russian and other global misinformation.
