Autumn Fog :: Beautiful Japan #102

in japan •  6 years ago

Just another foggy morning. Another foggy morning with the beautiful autumn leaves!

Welcome to the beautiful Korankei Valley in Toyota City. This is one of the best places to see the changing leaves in Central Japan. Depending on the year it even gets a mention in best places to see the leaves in all of Japan. Hundreds of trees in this valley, all of which combine to make a fantastic sightseeing location.

Edit, edit... This is a lovely, gorgeous fuzzy photo. I like my world in soft focus...

I would tend to agree, to be honest, but this has always been one of my most popular photos, and does well on Getty, which does always surprise me a bit. As usual with my photos, things I like usually end up not being popular and things I'm not crazy about end up being mega-popular. It has always confused me. Then again, I see other artists say similar things so I suppose it's a common situation. But at any rate, a lot of the softness was caused by the lens I was using, and the fact that I shot this before the light hit (you can see the light just starting to hit in the upper right corner) so I had to brighten the entire thing in software and that lost me a lot of clarity.

Ummm...which version of my comment are you replying to?

first one :)
