My first time in Japan and in Hiroshima. The shot below is from the Children's Peace Monument where many people send paper cranes to Hiroshima to hang at this location.
The story behind the 1000 cranes is from a small girl that was affected by the atomic bomb drop. She survived with no apparent health issues until she became ill with Leukemia around grade school. In an effort to get better, she folded 1000 paper cranes and prayed that she would become well again. In the end, she passed away from her illness.
Here is the children's monument next to the cranes
A building that Hiroshima has left untouched since the bomb drop. (Atomic bomb dome)

Near the park is a long shopping mall with just about every kind of Japanese food you want. There are also plenty of shopping as well from Cloths to guitars...
If you have a chance, I would highly recommend visiting Japan at least once in you life. I have found it very interesting and beautiful so far!
