Takashi Miike has built a career on narrative prowess, over-the-top cinematics, and the ability to always make our collective jaws drop in wonder at his strange and wonderful creations. Also, Hiroaki Samura's Blade of the Immortal is a phenomenal manga -- the artwork, the narrative, the characters. THIS will be a sublime pairing of minds.
