Japanese Junk Food: Mayonnaise Pringles and Lemon Squash

Japanese junk food can be delicious and strange. This is what I tried today:

I've never seen Mayonnaise-flavored potato chips, so I had to give these Pringles a try.

In short, they are amazing. They taste like you would expect -- mayo on salted chips -- but the flavor is not overpowering. I will definitely buy a full-sized can of these next time!

I'm not sure if Doritos has taco-flavored chips
outside of Japan, but since I love Mexican food, this was an easy pick.

I was skeptical that Doritos could capture the essence of a taco in their flavoring mix, but I can assure you that they did just that!

My only disappointment was how few chips were in the bag. Japanese portions can be really tiny.

I don't think you could market a squash soda back home, but fortunately, this drink was more lemony than... squash.

It did a decent job of washing down the salty chips, all while adding zero calories to my meal. However, I probably won't try this one again -- it was too mild to be interesting.

I'll try to find some more unique junk food for next time.
