Agreed all the trending posts are from bid bots. I think a good change would be for just author rewards to be shown on the post.
Curation rewards could also be modified so bid bots are less profitable

I've been looking for more information on pachinko and pachislots, so I'm glad to see this article. I do have some questions to ask though:
When you cash out, do the coins have the same 20 yen value that they had when you initially purchased them to play? Or is there a discount on selling back to the parlor like with pachinko balls (which I've read are 4 yen per ball on purchase and 2.5 yen per ball when redeeming)?
Is there a reason why you only receive 48 coins instead of 50 when you insert your initial 1000 yen into the machine? You make it sound like the parlor is taking their rake off the top before you even start playing.
Is there any indication of the existence of certain "reach patterns" that you need to hit before the machine is willing to give you a bonus round?

I am glad this is useful to you.
Similar to pachinko balls, they take a certain percentage as commission when converting the coins to tokens. Based on my calculation, it is about 12%. I also noticed different cities has different percentage. And it’s the same for pachinko balls, definitely not 2.5 yen as you mentioned, that’s too low.
Yeah the parlour takes 2 of your coins even before playing.
Apparently there are indications, according to the guidebook, but it is still pure randomness and luck.
