In Japan vehicles must pass such rigorous inspections so that even a car just several years old will often be junked or exported. For the Japanese it's easier to just buy a new car than to try and get an old to pass inspections. This is why the car export business from Japan to Africa is such a big business. Japan just happens to be on the forefront of Bitcoin. Bitcoin may well likely become a method of payment.
