The Karoke Box was nice they had a wireless pad for selection of songs and you could order drinks and food through the pad.
This Karaoke Place was interesting as they had a Manga Cafe and and Internet Stations in the same place. So you paid 300yen per Hour and could read Mangas for free or surf the web and chill in a Massage Chair.

Do you like Karaoke ???

It's very handy: to sing in a separate room. Nobody disturbs you and you do not disturb others too :)

exactly ! thats the reason I like the karoke boxes

The karaoke bars seem pretty cool

ライオネルリッチーを熱唱だったですかw

Love Karaoke even though I am bad singer (that's what I have been told). A great way to enjoy and let go of myself, spending time with friends who also enjoy this past time. Have to choose carefully who you go with as some of them will not let go of the Mike and every song is their song.....now I am careful to go with those who "share" and "take turns"....followed & upvoted..
Thanks for sharing @ jackpot

When I think of Japanese Karaoke I think of "Lost In Translation". Such a great movie.

I've heard of these Karaoke Boxes before, but never seen one in person.

Although karaoke is semi-popular in small town bars in the US, I think it's much more popular in Asia.

I love Karaoke, but I am a terrible singer ;) so thats the reason everybody drinks so much there ;)

cool

Nice post - I was really surprised the first time I went to a karaoke bar in Japan. As you mention - the private rooms were completely new for me - totally different than anything I had seen back home.
