"Tobe Zoological Park"

Tobe Zoological Park is the premiere zoo, not too far from the city of Matsuyama capital of Ehime Prefecture, Shikoku islands, Japan.

Park area covers 11.2 hectares. In this zoo, there are at least more than 760 animals representing about 170 species, laid out either by prioritizing the aspect of statements based on geography, classification and etology.

The zoo is divided into different streets or streets with information boards and explanatory panels installed at each observation point.among others:

  • Snake House, here visitors can observe snakes, turtles, crocodiles and other reptiles in a closed room.
  • Water Street, with a favorite location where visitors can watch the penguins swim happily and see it directly under the water tank.
  • America Street, a collection of animals from North & South America such as llama, condors and jaguars.
  • Africa Street, with African animals including giraffes, lions and hippos.
  • Elephant Street, here visitors can see a herd of elephants, tigers and white tigers.
  • Monkey Town, with over 20 species of monkeys.
  • Australia Street, with kangaroos, emus and other native animals.
  • Asian Street, with collections of animals like Japanese apes, camels and Malayan tapirs, including red pandas.
  • Little World, where visitors can see rabbits and guinea pigs together, as well as ponies.
  • Bear Street, with the polar bear's "Peace-chan" as its mascot, along with white bears and seals as a collection complement.
