And then it's current state picture taken 2017.
Japan is so advanced, that their bullet train already looks dated and ordinary today compared to its old pic.
Japan has slowly fallen off the technological advancement radar in recent years, but they are still the third largest world economy in the world after the U.S. and China. Although Japan is now going through a rocky time, that doesn't mean they are very far away in the race.
