First of all I clarify that it is a post done with seriousness and without intention to generate controversy. Just information.
Today I want to tell you about a note I read. I decided to investigate a little more.
Like many of you I had thought that prostitution in Japan was PROHIBITED.
But apparently the issue is not so.
It turns out that officially prostitution as such is prohibited by the authorities, but exist throughout the territory "Zones of tolerance"
As the original note said, Japan is a beautiful and incredible country, where for every aspect of life there is a professional or a specialization. Do you want to eat sushi? No problem! There is a guy who has spent his whole life preparing nothing but sushi.
For Japanese man and Japanese woman there are three facets (so to speak) of the person.
"of the body", "of the soul" and "of the family" With this conception nothing prevented that long ago the profession of geisha had been something socially accepted and even necessary.
I do not try in this post to justify anything, just to tell a reality.
50 years ago in Japan, prostitution was banned but, as has already been seen in many places, the tradition is stronger than the law.
Thus cities in Japan have preserved districts of tolerance. And they are not just a street, they are whole areas. The largest is in Osaka.
Gake no shita ni ikanai yo
Do not go under the ravine, eh - say the parents to the children.
For Osaka is this (poor) neighborhood where prostitution takes place
This is the reality:
(The faces of people are not censored because all people are adults and is a job that is not done sneaky or for their culture much less demeaning)
This is the typical postcard of these areas.
So you see these areas when you approach them.
Each "Cubicle" is a work area
Prostitution is a careful activity and has its paraphernalia around
Do not sit the girls behind a glass, as this provides the opportunity to talk to potential customers. In fact it is one of the main forms of authoritarianism
On very rare occasions women's faces are covered
As you may have noticed, young women are always accompanied by an older woman.
She is the "Pimp!"
The prostitute only works. The older woman receives the payment and has the previous deal with the client.
Lighting is an important aspect when it comes to promotion.
It always helps to highlight women and highlight the fantasy sold.
The use of elements that nurture women is also a recurrent element in these places. The use of children's toys is an element that has its audience.
(Not at all agree on this point)
The older woman remembers the deal. Nobody talks. It is understood that money is in exchange for sex.
Once paid, it advances with the woman by the red stairs of the side.
It is common for more than one girl to work in the same house.
This is the case where you can see the shoes of the previous customer.
Apart from that as a modus operandi women are always smiling. The game of 2 mirrors that you can see ahead is for the pimp to point the woman that a client is approaching and this way begins to smile and try to seduce the potential client with gestures, smiles or talk.
What about prices?
15 min - $ 110
20 min - $ 160
30 min - $ 210
60 min - 410 $
(In dollars)
The issue is that once paid the minimum, the woman in privacy will ask (custom) an additional payment to make the matter more exciting.
The negotiation of the price is strictly ill-seen, since the prices are for everybody.
Regular customers point out that quality sex is obtained from $ 600.
There will always be plastic flowers.
The woman will always smile and the pimp will always be "sad" or at least serious
As you may have noticed the women are really beautiful
The pimp always cares for the workplace when the prostitute is not.
Never desert
Generally there is also a food place close to these areas
This is the way of life in this part of Japan.

Oh wow, that's super interesting, had no idea. When I think of 'tolerance' I'd think of something known, but hidden, but this looks like its blatantly in the open. I wonder if it's then a taxable profession to be mostly ignored this way
