I went to Ueno Park. It is a park just a short walk from Ueno station.
上野公園に行ってきました。
上野駅から歩いてすぐのところにある公園です。
It is a lot of green that I can not think of in the city center.
都心とは思えない緑の多さです。
It is Takamori Saigo statue.
Speaking of Ueno, is Saigo-san.
Mr. Saigo is famous for dog lovers, but Saigo who did not receive any gifts etc. also seems to have received delivered items for dogs with pleasure.

上野といえば西郷さんですね。
西郷さんの犬好きで有名ですが、贈り物等は一切受け取らなかった西郷さんも
犬に関する物は喜んで受け取ったそうです。
It is the grave of Syogitai. Many members of Syogitai died in Ueno War of Boshin war.

Ueno park looks like a nice place to go to enjoy the outdoors in the city. Mr. Takamori Saigo must have been a truly loving man to only accept dog related gifts but not for himself. Those type of people have a great heart because they love animals. I will have to look up Mr. Takamori Saigo for his history. Thank-you Kinakomochi for a wonderful post!
