If you trip to Japan, you will soon realize that you don't have to worry much about language problems. But if you don't understand certain Japanese sentences especially when you buy something, you will have to experience some awkward silence which often lasts about 1 to 3 seconds. Because they want you to decide something important such as the hardness of the noodles, 'take out' or 'eat in the restaurant'. If you don't understand those sentences, either you can't proceed to the next step or they will decide it for you.
Don't worry. From today on, we can study those essential Japanese sentences step by step, so we can have a wonderful trip.

1. At bakery
ごちらでおめしあがりですか?
go chi ra de o me shi a ga ri de su kka?
* Do you want to eat here?
お持ち帰りでお願いします。
o mo chi ka e ri de o ne ga i si ma su
* Take out please.
ここで食べます。
ko kko de ta be ma su.
* Eat here.
2. At Noodle restaurant
面の硬さはどうしますか?
men no ka ta sa wa dou shi ma su kka?
* How would you like your noodles done? (How hard)
柔らかめ
ya wa ra kka me
* Make it softly please.
普通
hu tsu~
* Normally please.
かため
ka ta me
* Make it chewy(hard) please.
