締め切りギリギリですが@steemit-jpさんのコンテスト#19に参加させて戴きます。
奈良では近世から奈良晒（ならざらし）という麻織物が盛んにおられていましたが、その後は大和絣という藍色に染めた織物産業が盛んとなりました。今回は昔ながらのモノコトということですので、大和郡山市に残る「紺屋」についてご紹介します。

紺屋さんがある大和郡山市は郡山城の城下町として今も町並みが残っています。
店先には由来について書かれた看板が挙げられています。
建物内の様子です。事前にお願いすると係の方が歴史や方法などのご案内をしてくれます。
昔から使われていた道具も展示されています。
こちらが染めに使う藍がめです。藍染め体験をすることもできます。
この泡のようなものは藍の葉を発酵させた「スクモ」というもので、その気泡が吹く様子を「華が咲く」と表現されます。発酵させて色を安定させるためには温度管理がとても重要です。
紺屋さんの前には小さい水路があります。この水路は郡山城のお堀と繋がっていて、昔は糸や染め物を洗ったり晒したりしていました。今はこの水路が当時の様子を思い起こされる風情ある景観となっています。
大和郡山市と言えば金魚でも有名ですね＾＾
最近は金魚の電話ボックスが撤去されて少し残念でしたが、そんなことはお構いなしに街中のあちらこちらに金魚を見ることができます。
皆さんの街には染め物やさんや、その名残を残す建物があるでしょうか。

なんだか艶っぽいですよね。そう言えばdenjiroさんが寄席がお好きなんでしたっけ…？違うかな？ どなたかが以前、寄席の投稿をしておられたような…。奈良以外にも紺屋さんは全国に少し残っているようですので、機会があればぜひ訪ねてみてくださいね＾＾伊賀とか桑名にも紺屋町ってあるみたいですね（町名だけが残ってるのかも知れませんが…）。

郡山にも藍染があるんですね〜。岐阜の郡上市八幡町もありますよ。かめもあったりと共通の事がある地域と思うと親近感がわきますね（╹◡╹）
