The last two weeks, my home was an authentic Little Tokyo in Los Angeles. And almost every day my way passed by a Japanese restaurant. On the street in front of these doors, there was always a crowd of about 30 people.
The other day, my curiosity prevailed, and I wth my friend stood in line with the others.
It turns out that a real ramen was served inside a variety of variations! In all, there are 16 species.
Of course, we chose vegetarian dishes.
Ramen – literally translated as "to imbibe the noodles." It is based on broth (fish, chicken, meat, vegetables ...) and wheat noodles. Other additives depend on the dish - vegetables, meat, pickles, eggs, nori, etc.Portions were huge, hearty and tasty. But most of all I was impressed by the atmosphere!
A small, tight room was completely crowded with visitors. We had to sit down at the bar to not wait for our turn even longer. And behind the bar counter there was a kitchen! Everything was boiling, steaming, roasting .. there were shouts of chefs, the flames burned, it was hot as in a sauna! And along it all stretched a long stand of happy visitors, eating ramen for both cheeks.
It reminded me of a lot of old American movies, when the characters, without leaving their hometown, got to this Asia with all its amazing coloring. Finally, I happened to feel myself the heroine of such a film. And even better - a resident of the country, where all cultures of the world intertwine.
When you're in Los Angeles, be sure to go to Little Tokyo! These restaurants and shops are a delight and Kawaii ( 可愛い).
Thank You!

I like what we call bami soup = the same as ramen. My brother and I were always on the search for the right brand. We used to eat it freshly made, Chinese friends had a restaurant in Rotterdam, and that was so nice. I like your post thank you for sharing.

Did you like it? I am from Rotterdam but live in Belgium now, but every time when I am there I feel like I belong there, I would not want to live there anymore, but a strange kind of proud goes through my veins. Such a beauty architectural.

I was interested everywhere! Cause I'm an architect) I like all the Benelux countries, but I probably could not live there. all my life, at least. I love a more active, busy life.

architectural and than I mean modern architecture, in Europe nowhere nicer then Rotterdam. The market hall, the cubical houses and so much more. But active I found London the best, the rat-race capital, could not stand it! lol, beauty but so busy.
