So much content, so little being said.

See my previous post for why Javascript developers should look at rebranding steemit and d.tube.

Posts that should make me a mint if we were on websites that organised by quality, instead of 'new' and trends:

Social media's effect on markets.

So ever since 2009 I noticed that media had become more monopolised. I had been around the internet before Reddit became popular.

Ever since social media became popular Reddit was widely used. Upvote downvote results in the least disagreeable content rising to the top. Over and over and over. 1-5 stars expects content with some level of quality and leaves the judgment of quality up to the viewer. High quality, in my view, is borderline objective.

In America least disagreeable content is synonymous with market advertising. Controversy but not losing money with risk taking. Who cares? I don't think it's possible any more, like giving the message that maybe US audiences are affecting the UK industry.

'hurr where are all the David Bowies and Queens?'

Secondary Entertainment was an idea - basically d.tube except like Newgrounds for uniting people against monopolisation by bringing about the way of quality = promoted.

I have tried, and to be honest let EA and Disney thrive for another however many years. The filter creates a viewpoint that is borderline sociopathic - those who are popular deserve their popularity with no justifiable cause. This allows for schpiel that Marvel tripe is the next high art, in the same breath as complaining about the past. Rock music was replaced by pop for that reason.

The internet will likely never produce a high quality big project ever again.

In terms of big projects, if you crowdfund you compromise because of a lack of publishers. Ever since the 2012s the biggest - most venerated - games have always been indie or based on them. I do games writing, and games designing, which crowdfunding has made redundant as it's deliberately anti-risk. It's why the internet will likely never produce a high quality big project ever again that's actually playable ala the mid 2000s. And the games that the AAA push aren't attempting to break the mould.

I wrote this much more annoyed:

Because of this internet era. People will inherently agree with my point - just not out loud, because it's subjective. It's a cult of disagree with criticism - which promotes the point: Why bother?

This is basically where we live now. Just make a quick buck here.

I don't care. It means nothing. I give up. When I write about things that have to do with social viewpoints, ideologies and such it's the same responses again and again.

Artists die in a marketing society. Rock musicians kill themselves in a market-centered society. The suicide rate for men increases in a market-centered society, but decreases for women because it's a social environment and the rates (and researching gender breakdowns) infers that social media usage is often women.

The NSPCC has had statistics for an increase of anxiety, depression and such for children since social media. They've consistently pointed out to the government, but they don't understand that..

But whatever. Spike Lee has a new film coming out :)

Tl... dr. The internet just a pile of regurgitated infomation. Just the same thing over, and over in different forms. I've said all that's needed above, even if it isn't in a compiled format or as a specific argument.

I'm saying this because trying to explain yourself online is typically not because they don't understand. You get asked 'why' over and over because they're simply trying to alienate a subjective viewpoint. They are capable of understanding why, but they have their ears shut before they even ask. They don't want to hear something cultural.

I'm aware that the above is from the secondary article. If you want an honest writeup here:
Use the wayback machine for comparing now to the past, use reddit.com and kotaku.com to see how things catered to the intelligent and independent, and punished those who expected handouts of information

Less critical analysis are there.

And yeah, please support me on Patreon. Honesty is overrated nowadays
