Yes, recently the Reserve Bank of India has been decided to circulate Rs.10 denomination plastic notes. So, we all anxious to know about it. How these notes will actually work ? When and where these notes will first introduce in India? What are the advantages and disadvantages of these notes? Besides, there are many other questions behind it. Here, we will objectively discuss all the questions which I mentioned earlier. Okay, let's discuss about it.
Actually, there are many other existing Countries where have already adopted plastic currency notes. At present, there ae around thirty countries where have already adopted the plastic currency notes. Countries like Israeli, Vietnam, Canada etc. Australia is the first country as introduce plastic currency notes in 1998. So, we can easily say that India is not only the first countries as introduced plastic currency notes. In India these will introduce soon. These notes will first introduce in five cities across the country. Cities like Shimla, Bhubaneswar, Kochi, Mysore, Jaipur etc. But, these are not actual cities.
Advantages of Plastic Notes:
Following are the main advantages of plastic notes.

  1. In terms of security, the plastic notes are much better. So, it can't be copied easily.
  2. Plastic notes are expected last longer than paper currency notes.
  3. Also, these notes have water resistant quality. So, don't tear and can't be destroyed easily.
    Disadvantages of plastic notes:
There are also many disadvantages too; but I am not going to explain them. Because, by the time, we may handle them. Disadvantages like, you know, plastic is much harder than paper. So, the plastics notes are much harder than paper currency notes. Hence, these notes can't be fold and carrying easily. It can't be predict exact type of impact, but considering the recent achievement and removal major obstacles of India Govt. I may assure you that after introducing plastic currency notes the people of India will be benefited.
