"Marks" (released in 1972) is the name of the debut album produced by the Dutch band, Alquin. This work manages to be a progressive jewel of the early 70's, conceived in the full glow of rock as art, Marks manages to be magnificent, ethereal and sublime, full of atmospheres ranging from folk, to acid intonations and psychedelic remnants, a small work of eclectic art whose performance is very stylized and has all that spirit of early progressive rock. Without a doubt, the album is fresh, entertaining and quite pleasant to listen to, the magical instrumental performance is perfect, borrowing elements from its most important influences (Pink Floyd, Caravan, Genesis, Jethro Tull) recreating new, elevated and sometimes ethereal atmospheres, including betting on using small "tricks" that give it even more presence, and despite the fact that they tend to sin from "pompous", they manage to capture "masterful music", surpassing all expectations because the musicians know how to do their job well, and whose The result is a polished, meticulous and brilliant performance ... =)
