FINALLY replaced my Stagea parker light!!

After all this time, i finally managed to source a drivers side parker, and although i had to get it shipped from NZ to Aus, it ended up being about $80aud all up including shipping, over another that had been found on eBay, in aus, for almost $100 plus shipping.. ouch.

Its a shame we have to wait for people to wreck their stageas for us to find parts at decent prices unfortunately but hey, gotta do what you gotta do..

I found on Facebook in a Stagea group, someone who was wrecking a Series 1 C34 Stagea like mine, with full headlight assembly still on the car! :)
Messaged him instantly and asked for the parts, with tracked shipping [ive had way too many things go wrong trying to source this light over the past 6-8 months] and we organised it, and the parts were here less than 3 days later!!

Didn't realize the old light had half filled with water, that was a fun surprise lol.

I wasn't sure if id need to take off the guard or the front bar to get at this parker light, i thought it would be easier taking off the front bar, as the guard was pretty hard bolted [as in, nuts haven't been cracked in the past ten years stiff], but after realized the bars connected to the headlights connected to the grille etc, i figured out i could probably get it out without fully removing either, so i unbolted the guard and bar from each other [worst bolts ever, it takes both wrench exts and only just makes it, and there is no room for an arm in there!]

i just needed a bit of room to pop the clip on and off so it would come out. i actually had a little bit of extra leeway as my bar is slightly damaged [that side was the side that was hit at the mechanics] which gave me a bit more flex, i was actually surprised that it took what it did to get out lol, but now, no reason for it to come out ever again!!

Got in there and fitted the parker, im SO HAPPY ive finally replaced this part! It shouldn't have been that hard :lol:
