The most controversial passage of scripture is Matthew 24:36 and is also the source of the false doctrine of imminence! Many years ago a certain monk broke God's rule of Revelation 22:18 and added to God's Word yet almost everyone who reads a Bible does not seem to question this blatant disobedience of His Word.
Most Bibles have had God's Word divided into paragraphs and have inserted headings in between them. Most people will make excuses for this and say it was done in innocence and is not a real addition but I'm afraid if you believe that you are deceived! It was done with a purpose to bring about the false doctrines that now pervade the churches of the world and is exactly what Yeshua warned us of!
Now what does Matthew 24:36 have to do with that you wonder!?! Let's have a look what it says again, (Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. ) have a good read and see where it says, but of THAT DAY. What day is he speaking of here and why did Yeshua say it?! The day He speaks of here is given to us in verse 35, the very verse that was separated by a heading and an artificially inserted paragraph spacing thus separating the causal verse of the next one. Read it carefully and see He speaks of THAT DAY the what? (Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. )
That's right, that day when the Heavens and the Earth shall pass away! Don't believe me go to verse 3 of Matthew 24 and find the 3 questions the apostles ask of Yeshua and the 3rd question you will see He answers their question regarding when the end shall be! (Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? ) Yeshua answers each question in the order it was given! The information He gives us from verse 37 onwards He volunteers and is not given in answer to any question but He tells us of several happenings, namely surrounding the times of the resurrection, it's symptoms if you will! Verse 35 and 36 of Matthew 24 by the way are confirmed by the apostle Peter in 2 Peter 3:10 which is where again he mentions the day the Heavens and the Earth are burnt up with fervent heat, in other words the day that comes as a thief but not the Lord as on the day that the Lord comes as a thief is the day of the resurrection when He comes to those who do not watch for Him as a thief!
Open up to the Holy Spirit's teaching people and stop following false doctrine learnt in church. Yeshua is coming soon on this Yom Teruah on the 22nd-23rd September at midnight when the last trump is blown on Yom Teruah! (1Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.)
Only those who will watch for Him and look for their Saviour and search out the scriptures for when that time might be, those will He know because those are they who have asked Him when He comes and those who have had ears with which to hear His voice answer them and eyes with which to see His Word and all the signs He has given us!
