"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God". What does it mean?

Jesus in the gospels alerts us to the danger of the false security that the riches provides, the true good of man is to participate of the kingdom of god. This is what he means when he tells us: "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God" Luke 18:24-25
In ancient times the camels carried merchandise between cities, the famous camel caravans, the middle east is fundamentally a desert region, in the deserts the camel is the most important animal.
The ancient cities normally had large walls as fortification. The "eye of a needle" refers to the entrance gates of the city. The camels when they entered with many merchandises through the entrances of the city they did it with difficulty.

Jesus gives us this teaching in the context of his dialogue with a rich young man:
"Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"
So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good but one, that is God. You know the commandments: "Do not commit adultery", "Do not murder", "Do not steal", "Do not bear false witness", "Honor your father and your mother"".
And he said, "All these thing I have kept from my youth". So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me". But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he has very rich.
And when Jesus saw he became very sorrowful, he said, "How hard is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!. For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God!." Luke 18:18-25
Jesus explains to us that when we own material goods, that is to say important wealth, and direct our love towards them, we become idolaters of money, and we cannot access to the spiritual goods that love of God gives us.
The eternal life are a set of blessings that God gives us as an advance of life in glory: like the longevity, the guidance of god, that is the capacity to see the future and the hidden, the contemplative activity, the happiness of the heart...
