The believer who buried Jesus: He came from the Judean town of Arimathea, and he himself was waiting for the kingdom of God. Luke 23:51

The gospel of Luke tells us that after Jesus' death on the cross, a believer of the kingdom of God, named Joseph from the city of Arimathea, a rich and illustrious man, was the main person in charge of burying Jesus' body, at a time when the eleven remaining disciples were frightened and scattered.
Joseph of Arimathea went to ask to the governor Pontius Pilate for the physical remains of Jesus, and with this he performed a great act of mercy (compassion, kindness, gentleness). In addition, this follower of Jesus buried the master with great care, because as the gospel of John also relates, Joseph of Arimathea together with Nicodemus, wrapped the body and added myrrh and aloe as was the custom of the Jews in important burials.
Joseph of Arimathea is considered an important saint and an example to follow for all Christians, this saint was not a lukewarm Christian but a person committed to the Kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of God's perfections; and just as Judas Iscariot was an example of darkness, Joseph of Arimathea was an example of light, the gospels constantly show us this opposition, this contrast, between the grace and the sin.
This is how the Gospel of Luke tells us about the burial of Lord Jesus:
"Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a good and upright man, who had not consented to their decision and action. He came from the Judean town of Arimathea, and he himself was waiting for the kingdom of God. Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus' body. Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid. It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin" Luke 23:50-54.
