The sovereignty of Jesus: God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church. Ephesians 1:22

The apostle Paul in his Letter to the Ephesians highlighted the importance of receiving the most important spiritual gifts, that is, the gifts related to the spiritual rebirth, with that new man who emerges in the full likeness of our Lord Jesus Christ, because beatitude contains promises, the kingdom among other things is progressive thinking, Paul explained with wisdom.
Pagans seek happiness as the greatest spiritual good, but this is a mistake, the gift of eternal life, the true spiritual goal of man, is a blessing that is beyond happiness; because eternal life is a set of blessings that God gives as a preview of the life in glory, and that includes not only the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and the happiness as a state of the mind, but also the same knowledge of God.
According to the epistle, Paul prayed to God that the faithful believers of this Church would be blessed with the Holy Spirit: "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people" Ephesians 1:17-18.
And to ensure this request for a blessing, Paul affirmed the sovereignty and supremacy of Christ over the forces of the world, over lies, deceit, and the desire for evil. Christ with his sacrifice defeated sin and gave a new light to men. This is how Paul spoke about Jesus, as a role model, guarantor of salvation, and supreme spiritual guide of the community of believers that is the Church:
"God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way". Ephesians 1:22-23.
