Thanks for this. I think too often we overlook the significance of the verse from Isaiah 9:6
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
The scripture reads given, but how many of us could give one of our children to be abused and crucified even if we knew it was for the sake of the many.
I cry for our Father who made this sacrifice for us and I pray that we may all recognize it for what it is. He gave his Son so we may be forgiven, Thank God for all that is Holy.
