The Book of Romans, or LETTER "To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: at Rome..." From "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,...",
This letter though was not hand written by the Apostle Paul but rather dictated though another, namely a Fellow laborer whose name was Tertius, and so in the last Chapter of this letter we find one line stating "I Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord."

The Epistle ( letter_ was written sometime between the years 54-58 AD and BEFORE the persecutions of Nero, ( remember that next time someone tells you that Romans 13 was written by Paul in reference to blind submission to civil authority while Nero was out killing Christians)

The Epistle was written from Asia, is almost universally thought to be Corinth though it is not specifically said in the epistle.
Paul says Romans 16:"I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:, and It is almost universally thought that this City just east of Corinth on the coast. See also Romans 15:25-26
Erastus is also mentioned and he is said to be from or close to Corinth as well.
At any rate, this reading is without any commentary. Enjoy
