When it comes to handmade jewelry, wire wrapping is one of the oldest ways to produce a wearable piece of art. Usually these creations are made up of gemstones and precious metals that have been shaped into wire. These components are then connected together using strategic, unique and personal techniques with out the need for soldering or heating of materials.
For about the last four years I’ve been manipulating metals and spending time getting to know stones, tools and techniques (old & new). Pictured above and below is one of my most recent wire wrapped creations. This pendant features an ocean blue Nepalese Kyanite diving in at 6mm and weighing 1.14 cts along with a 3mm Brazilian Pink Tourmaline set in Sterling Silver. This pendant was a custom for a very grateful client with over 18 hours of work and is not available for purchasing. If interested in having custom jewelry made please contact me anytime and we could possibly bring something to life!
