I'm getting ready for a small craft fair, and tonight I've been wrapping a few extra pieces including this piece of Amazonite from Colorado. Yes Colorado. Of all the Amazonites out there, I find the kind from Colorado the absolutely most stunning. It grand blueness makes me think of the ocean, and it amazes me that something so blue was created in our beautiful, and mostly green, mountains. I not only find it beautiful, but a tiny piece of tranquility. I think it should be the state rock.

The state of Colorado disagrees though, and chooses Rhodochrosite to be the official mineral. Ok...yeah it's pretty. But you know what really brings out it's pink color? Colorado Amazonite!! Can you see it?

Awwww ty!! It's my passion!

I agree, the state rock should totally be the prettier Colorado Amazonite.

Right?? I mean the Rhodochrosite is pretty for sure but I think the Amazonite speaks more about the state with our blue blue skies and sunny days! Our blue sky is epic! Course I'm biased. I'm sure there's other places with sky just as blue!
