I noticed some Israelites and believers are doing as the Jews do and refuse to write or pronounce the holy Name of Elohim; YHWH. Using all sorts of substitutes like Hashem. But do you know the TRUE reason why Jews no longer pronounce the name of Elohim?

If you ask them, they will tell you it's out of respect. Which sounds reasonable. But this is NOT what the Scriptures teach. Yahuah never had a problem with us calling Him by name. All throughout the Tanakh, our fathers freely used His name and not once did He ever rebuke them for being so disrespectful as to dare use His name. Nope. Not once!

The true reason why JEWS no longer use His name and SHOULDN'T, is because He decreed that HE will personally stop them from using it due to how brazen they were in their infidelity! This goes all the way back to the days of Jeremiah.

At the start of the Babylonian captivity, they went down into Misraim despite Yahuah telling them not to and refused to listen to the prophet. There, they brazenly told Yirmiyahu, "As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of Yahuah, we will not hearken unto thee. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil. But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine. And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?" Jeremiah 44:16-19

Their foolish answer provoked Yahuah, the One who was actually providing these things. So He pronounced death and destruction upon them and purposed to strip His name from their lips!

"Thus saith Yahuah of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows. 👉Therefore hear ye the word of Yahuah, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith Yahuah, THAT MY NAME SHALL NO MORE BE NAMED IN THE MOUTH OF ANY MAN OF YAHUDAH in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord Yahuah liveth.👈 Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them. Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs." Jeremiah 44:25-28

As we know, Yahudah's words dropped to the ground, but Yahuah's words stood. Evil came upon them and after the Babylonian captivity (6th century BC) and especially from the 3rd century BC they stopped using His Name. When Yahuah said His name is Jealous, He wasn't speaking idle.

Jews do it because they think they honour Yahuah. The only thing they're honouring is His wish to not hear His name from their lips. He took it out of their mouths as a sign of rejection and to prevent it from being profaned by the horrors they would have to endure until they return to Him.

"A man's heart deviseth his way: but Yahuah directeth his steps." Proverbs 16:9

So let them continue doing what they're doing, but as for me, I'm not a Jew. I'm a Northerner from the blessed tribe of Asher and I will continue to call upon the Name of YAHUAH, my Redeemer and my Saviour! (Unless He tells me otherwise.)
