Jim Carrey for Jesus

Jim Carrey has been going through a somewhat spiritual awakening lately... or at least has been more open about it as it seems it's been a path he's been travelling for a while.

Recently I watched an amazing documentary called "Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond". Its a fly on the wall feature which was recorded when Jim was filming Man on the Moon, based on the life of Andy Kaufman. This movie is amazing because of two things: you see Jim being completely taken over by Andy, he basically channeled through Jim and "came back to make the movie himself". A truly inspirational thing to watch an actor, who could easily be viewed as one dimensional totally immerse them self in a role.

Then you have commentary (done in 2017) from Jim, and it's so. damn. good. You will never see him in the same light again. It pains me that the media is reporting his ascension as a breakdown. But we all know that this is the elite running stories through the mass media to convince us he's crazy, right? An enlightened being, especially one as famous as Jim would make their asshole pucker with fear.

So for someone who is going through, for want for a better word, an identity crisis. This movie has come along at the right moment for me. Jim's insights to life and the way it's played out is nothing short of inspirational.
