In 2017, Butler was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he played for one season before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. He played for the 76ers for one season before signing with the Miami Heat in 2019.

Butler's time with the Heat has been marked by success. In the 2020 NBA Finals, Butler put on one of the greatest performances in NBA Finals history, leading the Heat to a win in Game 3 with a triple-double. He finished the series averaging 26.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game, becoming only the third player in NBA history to record a 40-point triple-double in the NBA Finals.

Off the court, Butler is known for his philanthropic work. He established the Jimmy Butler Foundation, which focuses on empowering and educating children and families in need. The foundation has donated over $1 million to various causes, including supporting education and providing housing and food to those in need.

Butler's hardworking and determined personality has made him one of the most respected players in the NBA. He is a five-time NBA All-Star, four-time NBA All-Defensive Team member, and two-time All-NBA Team member. His relentless work ethic and tenacious defense have made him a fan favorite, and he continues to be one of the most exciting players in the league.
