Keep an open mind. You never know what you can learn. I hear this alot..."A Blackbelt is just a Whitebelt that didn't quit" I believe in this. Just like when doctors say they are practicing medicine they are always learning and it's the same in Jiu Jitsu! It doesn't stop at Blackbelt. If you haven't checked out his page a good example of this is Eli Knight aka (@knightbjj). He's proven to me many times that even though he wears a Black belt he is still a student of the Art of Jiu Jitsu. He's taking what he learns and tries to give back to the community by putting his content out there for others to learn. The old saying goes "There's more than one way to skin a Cat" well....There's more than one way to choke someone out! Hope you like the shot of this rashguard because it made me think about this post.

I prefer that one over the old skin a cat saying.

Practise is good it makes things that use to take active thought to become subconscious which in turn makes you faster and more precise, since now you can focus on the task at hand.

Being open to learn from others in this regard is to take what you already do without thinking and recognizing there is a way for you to improve on it even more, in the end the best people are those who can unify the better parts from others with that of their own and still apply it without skipping a beat.

Word.... "without skipping a beat"
It's about the transitions!

Well said...you explain things way better than me. You nailed it. Sounds like something John Danaher would say. He's a very well versed jiu jitsu artist. Thanks for this comment because this is probably one of the best replies I've got because I can tell you understand.

Once you stop learning , you're dead.
You live & you learn ;)
Not only in BJJ
Mixed Martial Life

That's right! And only training BJJ might get you by but it's good to study a variety of martial arts. It's good to have stand up and ground game. You're right on the money. Thanks for the comment.

You're welcome. Thank you.
Greetings from the future black belt... :)
