Cross collar choke from back control.

in jiujitsu •  7 years ago

My first technique video post is a little bit more for the already engaged people. Its a cross collar choke from the back control that i have been using and refining the last 2,5 years.I like the papercut choke from the side control a lot ( all collar-blood chokes are my obsession) and this movement felt really normal and effective so i started using it and found it has really high rate of success.

I will make a small breakdown of it.

1st) Controlling your seat belt.
2nd) Sneaky grab on opposite side lapel.
3rd) Swing your elbow over(some times they bring their elbow themselves), also you can pretend you are doing a swinging move to go to the arm bar from the back.
4th)try to bring your elbow behind your opponents back(the elbow of the hand that is holding the collar.
5th)Bring your other arm over crossing and grabbing the gi material at the opposite side of the head
6th)Squeeze like cross collar choke

Try it out and give me some feedback on what is wrong, what possible escapes you see, where you see it failing or any other feedback.

I tried to post the video on Dtube but it said there was a problem while submitting to the blockchain, anyone know how i can fix that?

Damn man! That's some fine skills right there.
Kalaripayattu is a martial art form from Kerala, India.

It is the oldest surviving art form that has been used in military training starting from thousands of years ago.

This made me remeber that. Thanks a lot! Nightmade.

Back on march i was in sounth india Kerala (Kochin,Thekady etc) and I had the pleasure to watch a kalaripayattu show with long swords, short swords flames etc. Really impressive...
