Get Those Appointments! Having Fun yet?

in job •  7 years ago  (edited)

I started on a new sales career after a brief job interview today. The owner of Sawyer, a construction company, hired me after 5 minute of interview.

I was very confident that I could get this position.

After getting the job, he trained me 30 minutes and I was on my own selling.

In side of the retail box store, Sam's Club, we have the big display set up and I stand in front of it to talk to people into giving me their contact names and phone numbers.

I have to try to stop about 50 people to get a one good lead for the sale person to call to set up appointment to sell our construction services.

As a lead generator, I had to hustle for 6 hours today almost, none stop and took only few minute bathroom and water breaks.

I managed to book 2 appointment for a gutter estimate for 2 Hispanic potential customers whom our sales people will call follow up to close the sale.

I really enjoyed this job. I get to smile at the customers as they are about to leave the building by the exit.

Job pays guarantee hour plus commission. I will be working 40 hours a week.

I had fun smiling at customers all race and ages. I got paid to be nice and tell them about our construction services like a new structure building and renovation of their houses.

I am planning on keeping this job for now since having fun.

Be funny and have fun.
