Yes a new job!

I have never really got on with the job world.

I guess here the main reason how come I never got on with any job was because I never really liked the job,

boring boring boring same shit different day.

My one passion is computers but as I was told by my teacher that I was not bright enough to operate a computer my education in that field was never started. My dad bless him, never really believed in my intelligence and refused to employ me in his own business so I guess I was just sort of thrown on the menial job pile. You know the jobs:-

  • MacDude
  • Walmart Welcome Guy
  • Cleaner
  • Etc etc etc...

That is until now...

Joy of joys! I applied for a job in customer service from an online job board. In my past I have done customer service so thought I would apply as I am a nice kind of guy and do like helping people. Of course this would help me and my family as the job is based here in Portugal and I love this country. What I did not know though what this job would entail...

When I got to the interview it became apparent that the job would involve people from the UK phoning up to gain support for their Computer Operating System!!! Wow was my initial thought. After some near on three decades of doing dead end jobs I applied for a job that I never even knew was going to be right up my street!!! Finally it may just be that I will end up doing something that I love. And you know what they say that if you do something you love then you will never work again. But now onto where...

LISBON

Yes ladies and gentlemen my new job is in the beautiful city of Lisbon. Now hmmm let me think, what is happening in Lisbon apart from my job? Oh yes the

is happening here. I shall alas though not be attending as I have not and will not have the value needed to attend. Even as a minnow but I might well be found lurking about near there so might even be saying hello to one of you guys in the flesh...

New Home

Yep my new home is nothing more than a tent! You see the trouble is that even though I have a new job the pay is shall we say not that great and my earthly value is not nearly enough to rent an apartment in Lisbon as prices there are way too much for me. So a tent it is. Its not so bad though as the weather is still OK and the campsite comes complete with:-

  • Hot Showers
  • Wifi (Essential)
  • Cafe
  • Shop
  • Cheap very cheap compared to apartments

Alas though my family cannot come straight away. So will be leaving them in Central Portugal until we work out how to get from there to here...

Happy for you, JP! Congratulations on landing a job you may actually like. It's good that you're looking at the bright side of things and working around issues like rent. All the best for your new path. ^_^

I am glad for your new job. I think you will learn a lot from it. Never stop developing yourself. That's what I am doing as well :) Have a nice day.

Thanks Sirrius and I always have and presume I always will keep developing as would hate to stagnate...

That's a healthy mentality, cheers!

Congrats on the new job! Hope it goes well! It definitely helps to enjoy what you do, that's one of the most important things in my opinion. :) A good attitude often makes a major difference! Cheers bud.

Cheers apolymask. My attitude is one of positivity especially when interested in stuff...
