Interview “Tell me about yourself !”
Here is how to answer.
There are questions that are dumb, such as
“Where do you see yourself in 5 years ?”
“Why should we hire you ?”
“What are your weaknesses ?”
“Why are you leaving your current company ?” – your recruiter called.
“Tell me about yourself” is actually good for you.
You are passionate, hard-working, honest, dedicated, loyal – right ?
Exactly what they want !
So tell them that, but not in those terms, or else you will look immodest.
Just give them some examples from your career.
But – do not forget to tell them something that makes you a real person, that you are.
Like this:
“I wanted to be a test pilot when I was in high school. That did not work out for me, but I realised that working in HR can be as exciting.
In our profession we have to take risks too, but those risks give people a chance they deserve. These risks we take are even more rewarding than those of test pilots..."
