Divided on Jordan Peterson.

It’s weird having to watch Jordan Peterson videos, though I like many of the things he says, but his ubiquity as a smart person in the absence of other smart people who get anywhere near the exposure that he does is weird.

He’s clearly a smart guy but rather than hate on him, the better question is why aren’t there more people like him being reasonable, talking good sense, and with a moral perspective at work that delivers a clear sense of right and wrong.

Why are there not more “high-profile” people talking good sense? And to that, I guess my answer would be because to talk good sense is going to ultimately make you an enemy of the state, UNLESS you are the state’s “chosen” intellectual… which is a whole other can of worms… but which may in fact be the case.

I will admit to feeling a certain kind of “entrainment” in listening to him … like a little creeping voice in my head forming the sounds like Jordan Peterson!

ALSO, I have heard JP criticize politicians, but my question is whether or not he has taken his big moral sword to the political “system.” Did he do that and did I just miss it, or has he backed away from taking such a divisive position?

As it is, he leans in heavily on you taking responsibility for you… which is ohh-k… but in a totalitarian state, there is more to it than just you and your responsibilities. There is the state and as he well knows, it can be ruthless.
