Jordan Peterson and Contemporary Christianity | Discussion with Paul VanderKlay

in jordanpeterson •  7 years ago

For the past 2 months, Paul VanderKlay has been extensively commenting on Jordan Peterson and how he is connecting to, disrupting and fostering a return to the Bible and Christianity in the Western world.

We explore his motivations, his interpretations for engaging with Jordan Peterson, and also discuss a wild variety of things from CS Lewis, to symbolism, to African Christianity.

What a great conversation! How much money do you need to do a symbolic interpretation of the Matrix? ;-)

Jordan Peterson really made great work on bible explanation. He is a priest in a jacket.))

Atheists often say that they more logical, hence we should make them believe through study of logic, philosophy and end up in study of bible.

We should unfold their irrational thoughts, and show them.

Also, we can become different - non judgemental, smart and kind. After this they will follow us naturally

It's great path to the book of books.

I don't really believe in a God, but just as i don't believe in it, i think, it should be fair to not believe in the absence of a God. Being Atheist is knowing there's nothing while you don't have actually proof to support your claim. Being agnostic, in the spirit of being precise and intellectually honest, should be a better option.

End of rant XD

PS: this was something to add on what you said about atheists being more logical

Atheism: "I don't believe in gods."
Agnosticism: "I don't believe you can know."
You can be agnostic and atheist.
For example: I don't think we can disprove the existence of ghosts and I don't believe in them. Makes sense?

Those conversations are stupid.

Those who believe has different thoughts on this subjec. For him not believing is more like disadvantage, brain flaws or illness. For him it's time to force yourself to believe. Do fasting, go to church ...

For atheist is completely different. For him believe is illness.

We learn throught time and personal drama.
