A young man wanted to propose to a lady sometime ago, he called her to a secluded place, led her in some prayers, asked her some funny questions before going straight to the point. He was like, "I want you to pray about it and give me response." Which kind of response do you want after the whole prayer? If I were the one, I would give him the response immediately.

And that was how a brother approached me one time like that. He shared the Scriptures with me for like thirty minutes before he declared his intentions. I think he even called me for Bible study though I knew it wasn't his intention. Don't ask me what ensued. 😀😀

Some will even approach a sister, tell her the visions they saw and still ask her to pray about it. What do you want her to still pray about? Why did you share the vision hurriedly, is it not to convince her that you were the right person for her?

Bro, you don't need to tell her all your achievements in a jiffy. Why do you have to show her your profile? Are you trying to gain her approval or what?

The first step to take in approaching any lady you are interested in is to get approval from God. When I say approval, pray about her. Get a go-ahead. Don't also forget that like begets like. An unbeliever cannot be attracted to a child of God. So, you can only be attracted to your kind.

Go straight to the point.
Approach her in a polite manner. You don't need to lead prayers with her for one hour before you go straight to the point, since you are not talking with your disciple.

Be factual
Don't say I didn't really like you but since God says you are the best for me, I have no option. Sir, tell her you love her and that you like her to pray about it. Don't package!

Give her time.
A lot of brothers are impatient. You proposed yesterday, the following week, you started calling her to receive answers. This can get a lady frustrated.

Don't be rigid
A lot of brothers, when they hear a "No" from a sister, they turn it to fight. They might not even greet her on the street again after the incidence. They are like, the sister can't hear from God clearly. Don't be rigid. Go back to God if you are convinced and let God speak to her Himself.

Don't buy her love
A man who wants to buy a lady's love will always get her gifts. Gifts blindfold and will not let someone see correctly. Don't try to win her love by your gifts. It isn't the right time to get her gifts. What for?

Save your airtime
Incessant calling and texting can be tiring.
Before you made your intentions known, you were not the calling or texting type but this time around, things have changed. You call her unusually often, message her at every available opportunity. It shouldn't be. This attitude can wear the lady out.
