Barbecue and Bon Bons

The last two weeks I’ve been practicing making truffles what I prefer to call bon bons for an event at the local boys and girls club. I must have made these things several different times only for it to be failure after failure until at the very last minute everything just worked out. They popped out of the molds without any issues. The colors looked amazing and the middle was soft and gooey. I did good.

We went to a party at the VFW after it was some girls birthday. Everyone was dressed as actresses and singers from the 90’s. I stayed longer than I should have, but it felt good to be out and about. No one was wearing masks everyone was hugging and touching each other it felt great to be normal.

I ended this weekend with some amazing barbecue. It was cooked with an egg smoker and I can still taste the smoke on my burps.
