This might be boring so read at your own risk. I decided to write my journals here as a way to train myself to write often and someday (hopefully) be good at articulating my thoughts. But if you still want to know how my day went, read on.
Started reading Dostoyevsky's The Brothers Karamazov again. I noticed something familiar while reading the author's preface. He sounded just like Henry Thoreau. The tone of speaking, that unbothered expressions when saying things that might not sit well with their readers.
I worked on the foundation plan but I still think there's something I missed in the details. Despite that, I was able to replicate the plan as indicated on the pdf file. The activity alone took hours to finish, well, since I couldn't really grasp the difference and the right location of wall footing and a tie beam. Where do I put the wall footing? Is it above the tie beam of below it? This took me hours to figure out, researching, asking someone about it. So I settled with the wall footing to be equal footing with the isolated footing. I not quite sure if what I did was right but I guess I'll get there someday as I continuously work on this. Figure out as you go is what they say, right?
I made a dish similar to that of vegetable fritters, which is thinly sliced veggies with batter, deep fried. It's basically a vegetable pancake. My ingredients were those veggies that are available. I mixed cabbage and pumpkin, I made my batter as well. Thankfully, it turned out good. I made quite a lot, good for 5 persons. It tastes good as well, the pumpkin was tasty. Maybe next time, I'll add bread crumbs instead of the powdered one. The problem with the powdered bread crumbs is that they don't cook well when mixed in the batter. Next time, it will be just flour and bread crumbs plus the seasonings.
