  • Hello reader!

This is my first story at Steemit society, and what could make it a better one than a brief opinion on online magazines and articles you can find on the Internet's wild west. So, lately as I had to study for my exams, there were a couple of terms which my book didn't explain very well, and of course as every lazy college student, I went to look it up online. But what I found there was a mess even greater than the one in my books. How it turns out, today every semi-professional agency/office/newspaper/blogger, or even the amateurs, can publish literall s*it online and have no obligations what-so-ever for the accuracy of the given information. Why is that so? I mean yes, everyone with a PC has access to Internet these days and therefore, right to upload. But my real question is, what about professional newspaper magazines, with their statutes, inner organizational hierarchy etc.? Shouldn't they be obliged in any way, of the content they publish - the information or data they provide? Not only speaking for one certain country, but globally, as some other professions have their ethical codex, shouldn't the journalist branch be obliged too?I mean, I am aware there are such groups who are "controlling" their work but can it REALLY ever be controlled in a appropriate way? Not sure. If we just look a little better, first thing that emerges is the fact journalists (therefore newspaper companies they work for) are often the bridge between common folk and politics or state itself!
It is only natural in that state of order, to point out how powerful the media is, it can easily form public opinion on any matter, make people hate or adore an individual, they can raise money for charity, yet they can also make public go into state of chaos, create an image of war state, or economical crisis.
Don't forget, you know only as much as you read, or to say, as much as they let you read and know. I'm talking about moral responsibility in their work, and how it affects other people? It's a little risky to call Paparazzi an journalist, but what they write (shoot) is sometimes life ruining material or things that generally f*cked many historically important going-on's.
So there I went, from simple googling of a law term to Zeitgeist theories. Wasn't ment to happen, I'm not plotting to show any big government cover up's or whatsoever. But what my true point in this was, is to make you think. Why leaving such a globally important branch uncontrolled, letting journalists, bloggers and their editors feed us the selected info's and data's where reading a so called "scientifical" article makes you facepalm and start believing in unicorn's and fairies if that's science!
Nevertheless, no big points to be made in this article or resolutions offered, I am simply here as a citizen of Gea, slightly worried what tomorrow will look like and I what is there to be done to improve it.

*this are my personal opinions as an author of this story!
*my intention isn't to insult anyone but rather start a productive discussion or at least leave an impression!
*English is not my native speaking language but feel free to go grammar nazi on me!
    *Have a nice day!
