Today I woke up, showered and dressed and went to a rally at the Legislature to protest the on-going use of Fish Farms on unceded water territories of Indigenous people on the coast of British Columbia. While there I met Leonard Kroeg who is the chair of the NDP Caucus. That's the NDP government who are currently in power. Mr.Kroeg addressed the crowd about the NDP Government's firm commitment to the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. He said that this was more than just words.

After speaking with his aides for a few minutes it was determined that I should speak to my MLA Doug Routley here in Victoria to talk to him about the idea of setting up a private exchange for people to buy and sell crytpo-currency futures and options on an Indian Reserve under the jurisdiction of First Nations people per the UNDRIP position about self-determination and preservation of our culture. I called and spoke to an aide for Mr.Routley about getting a sit down with Doug sometime in the next 2 weeks.

I came home and spoke with a hereditary leader from further up Island about how his ancient traditions of Potlatch and the use of Coppers as well as Sla-hal fit in with this project. We are going to meet soon to discuss.

I did a little laundry and puttered around my place to clean up. And now I'm just watching "Stranger Things" and eating some dinner. All in all a productive day. Tommorow I go on to my Employment Training program work. Saturday my wee son Douglas is coming over to hang out for a few hours. So I am thrilled about that.

I have no clue who all these people are you talk about. Care to elaborate? Sounds like you are someone who actually practices what you preach. Kudos!...:)

Oh.. I'm in British Columbia... the MLA means "Member of the legislative assembly" (the Government of the Province) - the NDP means "New Democratic Party" - and they are currently the government in power in BC. They were just elected quite recently. If you need to know more, feel free to ask. :)

Thanks! Yeah the only problem is I wouldn't trust the UN with ANYTHING!

I haven't checked, are you in an NDP riding? I'm in the corner of a liberal riding, it's not so bad but have to get to the island eventually to meet the party in power.

I have a list.

I'm in Victoria but I hail from Cowichan and I have a relationship with the MLA from there for a 17 years so I'm going to see him first.
