freeCodeCamp. I don't know if you can learn to code with it. I remember back in the day I tried to upgrade my skills going through the course but after some time I got bored and just forgot about it. But I want to try it again, maybe this time I'll push myself to finish more of the curriculum. Maybe I will learn something.
My background is not one of some good coder. Back in the day I worked as a web designer but it was quite simple stuff with very little javascript and PHP. Eventually I started working jobs that didn't require programming skills and internet gradually changed.
Why am I doing this? Well, I have more free time these days and I like having the ability to understand how things works online. I have completely zero understanding of how asynchronous web applications work, that I would like to learn. I remember trying something with AJAX but that is completely forgotten now. Also it would be cool to better understand front-end javascript.
Anyway, let the journey begin.
