According to a report from Reuters, the major banking company, JPMorgan, plans to merge its own blockchain project, Quorum, with ConsenSys – a startup focused on Ethereum-based software. The report states that the merge may happen within the next six months. CoinDesk later reached out for confirmation, but the banking firm declined to comment.
Quorum was first unveiled back in 2016 and officially connected the company to the Ethereum blockchain. It’s currently being used for JPMorgan’s interbank network, which allows member banks to exchange data and verify payments in real time.
