Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 230 opens with Mei Mei explaining Mahoraga’s adaptibility. She says that its capable of withstanding various attacks, even Gojo’s devastating Void attack. Yuji, incredulous, questions whether it can handle the Unlimited Void too.
As the battlefield unfolds, Sukuna nullifies Gojo’s Void attack with ease. However, it becomes apparent that someone else has taken the “Sure Hit” effect of Gojo’s Unlimited Void. Gojo struggles to figure out what happened, until he realizes that Sukuna had Megumi’s soul take the damage.
Gojo points out that Megumi’s soul has not truly adapted to the Unlimited Void, and if Gojo unleashes his Domain Expansion again, Sukuna will be compelled to summon Mahoraga. However, Sukuna retorts confidently, claiming that Gojo will be unable to expand his domain once more.
Gojo’s relentless efforts to restore his burnt CT using RCT take a toll on him, leading to a nosebleed. The Sorcerers acknowledge the risks he has taken, but Sukuna has also suffered damage due to a similar process. Undeterred, Sukuna plans to trap Gojo with a barrier and cut him down, ultimately adapting to the Void.
But fate has other plans. As Sukuna arrogantly attempts to open his domain, Malevolent Shrine is immediately obliterated, causing Sukuna himself to bleed. The brief exposure to Unlimited Void effects inflicts damage on Sukuna’s brain, rendering him unable to expand his domain as well.
