Always look forward to your reporting, Elizabeth. Your use of the words "despicable," "sadistic" and "a mockery" when describing this magistrate's behavior couldn't be more appropriate. And I agree with your noting a threat in the "could be worse" comment. That Julian Assange, a man who put his life and freedom on the line for the noblest of reasons, has be held captive for over 5 years and is facing such disgusting treatment is purely maddening!! I know I speak for millions when I thank him from the bottom of my heart. & thanks to you, other honest journalists, activists, and lawyers we know where to look for the facts and do our part in better supporting him.

Could be a Deep State black op (even if powder is harmless, threat is terrorism) or just deranged individual or individuals. Deep State and Democrats radicalize people with propaganda through MSM and paid trolls and make light of terrorism against political opponents, such as Steve Scalise and Rand Paul. The absurdity of anyone thinking that Assange's detention is due to anything other than the military leaks makes my head hurt. I keep having that same feeling about so many things like "now it is in the daylight, obvious without a doubt what is happening" and yet somehow there is still public perception that buys into the absurd narratives. Trump talking to African U.N leaders about his buddies trying to get rich in their countries or admitting to not paying taxes because he's "smart" are other obvious examples, but there are so many throughout history that it really makes me feel like I must be insane. I appreciate what you do, and all reporters who have to calmly continue to muck through the absurdity in hopes that these words may be the one that finally make it click. It's tough work, and hopefully you take time to decompress because it's never ending <3 And Assange too, god I can't imagine the fight that man has in him.

You shouldn't assume good faith when people are proven to be bad actors. You expect new information to change these peoples' minds? As if all they need is to learn the truth? They know the truth, they've been lying all along, so why would they stop lying now? You'll never convince a disingenuous bad actor to take on a righteous position by proving yourself right using evidence or logic.

I don't think any one assumes new information will change people minds, its more of a a hope and honestly a desperation sometimes because, like I said, that work is endless. You do what you can do, what some of us are compelled innately to do , and you can feel good about your garden.
