Assange's change of opinion on Twitter is interesting, I wonder what exactly he's seeing to be so negative on it?
Steemit is a great concept, but there's FAR too much gaming on the system, by users who're only interested in the payments. There's a LOT of wasteful content, and some of this worthless content is rewarded while ACTUAL content gets zero attention (or rewards). Steemit COULD be a great platform, but somehow it needs to improve the distribution of rewards to those creating actual legit content.

Agree with you there, the only way to ensure quality is to try and seek out the best stuff and flag spammy shit whenever you see it. Never be afraid to flag spammers and reSteem promising newbies if you have a lot of followers.

Yah, I'd imagine the last thing he'd want is a bunch of greedy get rich quick money grabbers commenting on everything he posted.. Ironically, its the financial "incentive" here that drives down quality of membership
