Juno to perform 6th flyby over Jupiter

in jupiter •  7 years ago

  • In a move that will reward humanity with a closer look at our solar system's heavyweight, NASA’s Juno spacecraft will perform its 6th flyby over Jupiter's mysterious cloud tops on Monday.

  • The cameras and sensors will be pointed at the Great Red Spot, the best-known feature of the gas giant.

  • The iconic spot is, in fact, a storm 10,000 miles across.

  • Humankind has been documenting it since 1830.
