It's almost as if our government was built with checks and balances, and can actually work and serve the people if they pay attention and exercise their rights!

Please tell the tax collector "no victim no crime" and "I demand to be judged by a jury of my peers, I don't recognize the authority of any other legislation", next time they come for taxes.

And then tell me how well it goes to protect your property rights.

Why should it go well when you're trying to steal that service?

Steal? What are you stealing from whom? They are stealing from you, you got it backwards.

I know you believe that's true. It's a good thing you're not using anything the government funded to tell me that!

@telos: (hit reply level limit) And I'm sure you are not using anyhing that is NOT created by FREE MARKET to tell me that.

@ozertayiz: I'm not arguing that the free market is invalid, nor complaining about what it has created.

If you think extorting a % of your income from you is "service to you", by that logic, you also owe me %10 of your income too. :D

He specifically mentioned property rights. So unless someone has stolen his house or land, I'd say he's receiving a service.

@telos: He? The original poster? Juri notification is a notification for him to serve as Jury member. He is the "service provider".
I was talking about YOU vs TAX COLLECTOR (Extortion Racket member)

@ozertayiz: Ah, I guess I meant you. Unless someone has stolen your land, you received the protection of your property rights among other things.

I KNOW what my taxes provide me in terms of services. I may not agree with all of it, but I also don't expect it for free or demand that everyone else give it up.

Tell the IRS you don't want to pay taxes, however, and you're stealing those services.
