More than once, I've wondered if we have soul plans. Lives that have been decided prior to us entering our bodies, prior to our perspective of some type of "me". I don't know if a philosopher has this same specific idea, I know there is a determinism vs free will "debate" which could be a perpetual back and forth. I do notice though generally that it's not uncommon for philosophers to stray away from terms and ideas that easily are associated with the spiritual realm. Despite in this case at least there being an interesting overlap in thinking of what is the case for each of us: are we pre-determined even prior to birth ? noted the spiritual angle of this question is about something as cloudy to define as a soul. Along with soul, there's this description of it having an intention.
Is it inevitable that i my soul plan will be lived? I guess this could be true if part of the point of our soul plan is to not remember, for a certain duration, our soul plan as it has already been decided. It's also ironic that even that which seems like a clear choice that you made, a choice even for the better, could be a plan also, for the better. whether the choice suits your desire or whether it's a mistake, it would all be just part of the intended viewpoint. Then maybe the mistakes are for the better. It is plausible that mistakes will become what you make them into; not just guaranteed instances you would want to avoid seeing. It seems much of what I experience then assume others experience is that if you consciously change the way you view an instance, you’ll probably over time change the way to experience it. Is this part of “my” intended viewpoint?
